Ta’ Qali is a wide-open space in the limits of Attard in central Malta.
Shortly before World War II, the area was used to build a military aerodrome and a station for the Royal Air Force (RAF), which the British called RAF Ta Kali.
Since the departure of the RAF and the closure of the airbase, the location has been transformed into a recreational area and a village for local handicrafts.
Here you can watch the local artisans at work, blowing elaborate glass art pieces, intricately assembling original silver filigree jewelry, and many more. This is the perfect place to pick up treasures that will remind you of your Malta visit.
There is also the Malta Aviation Museum, where you can find different types of aircraft related to Maltese aviation history.
